OUR CRAFT
Every blade that leaves our workshop carries the weight of centuries of tradition — and the precision of a craftsman who refuses to cut corners.
THE STORY
Ummmyy's Blade started the way most obsessions do — with a single piece that wasn't good enough. A decade ago, our founder couldn't find a longsword that was both historically accurate and built to withstand real use. So he built one himself.
What began as a personal project became a workshop, and the workshop became a reputation. Word spread among HEMA practitioners, collectors, and stage armourers who were tired of choosing between beauty and function.
Today every piece we make is still hand-forged, one at a time, in the same spirit as that first blade — uncompromising on steel, uncompromising on craft.
PHILOSOPHY
We work exclusively with high-carbon and spring steels — 1075, 1084, 5160. The steel dictates the blade, not the other way around.
Every sword and dagger we produce is full tang. It's not a selling point — it's a minimum standard. Anything less isn't a weapon, it's a prop.
Each blade is flex-tested, edge-checked, and balance-verified before it leaves the workshop. If it doesn't meet spec, it doesn't ship.
We don't rush. Custom orders take 6–10 weeks because that's how long it takes to do it right. We'd rather be honest than fast.
